About the Event
This year marks the 160th anniversary of — June 19, 1865 — when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that all enslaved people were free, over two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation had formally outlawed slavery in Confederate states.
Step into history as we honor the spirit of freedom with a living history presentation of Harriet Tubman set right on the iconic grounds of the Mercer Museum. Experience her incredible story brought to life by the Gather Place of Yardley.
This celebration of freedom will uplift the legacy of Juneteenth with:
🎭 Inspiring performances
🎨 Local artists, vendors & handmade goods
🍗 Delicious food
🎶 Community talent
💛 Fun, fellowship, and freedom
Don’t miss this vibrant tribute to resilience, culture, and community. Bring your friends, your family, and your love for history and heritage. See you there!
*We have a limited number of spaces still available for interested participants and sponsors, so please reach out by May 30 for registration.
