Everyone in Bucks County should be able to count on equal protection from our police. In light of the tragic murder of George Floyd, the NAACP Bucks County set out in 2020 to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement regarding racial equality in Bucks County policing. What we found was troubling.
We engaged directly with each municipal police department and with the Police Chiefs’ Association of Bucks County several times, seeking transparency and collaboration to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our assessment.
