This free workshop is designed to support both students, parents and advocates in fostering a more informed, respectful, and empowered community.

Workshop Goals:

·          Awaken young minds to be leading conscious citizens aware of the law, their own rights, respectful of the rights of others, and aware of the strength of their own voice.

·          Promote educational advocacy for parents and advocates requiring assistance with educational policy and procedure.

·          Inform parents and advocates how to exercise their rights on issues of school discipline, to recognize hostile environments, navigate special education concerns, and raise bullying or harassment claims.

·          Provide tools and resources regarding the obligations of public (including charter) schools to ensure safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments where all students can succeed.

Empower yourself and your children with the knowledge to succeed in school.
