About the Event
In partnership with the Rainbow Room, we invite you to participate in a panel of experts who will share valuable information, insights, and strategies for preventing and responding to mistreatment of LGBTQ+ students, immigrant students, and targeted Black and Brown students.
The Panel Discussion includes:
-Public Defender from Montgomery County
-PA School Solicitor with expertise in transgender and student rights
-Immigrant Action Rights, Director
-Eastern PA Trans Equity Project, Director
-ACLU PA Senior Organizer
Attendees will learn:
-What young people should know about their rights in schools
-LGBTQ+ students rights
-Immigrant students rights
-How to handle school and police discipline in schools
-Which PA and local laws protect you
-Resources for organizing and resilience
-Friends and support
