Dear NAACP Bucks County Community,

Today, we proudly celebrate 116 years of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) - an organization founded on the principles of justice, equality, and the unwavering pursuit of civil rights for all.

Since its inception in 1909, the NAACP has been at the forefront of historic change, leading the fight against racial injustice in education, voting rights, economic opportunity, and criminal justice reform. From the victories of the Civil Rights Movement to the ongoing battles for equity today, our mission remains clear: to dismantle systemic barriers and create a more just society.

Here in Bucks County, we are honored to continue this legacy. Through advocacy, community engagement, and education, we work to ensure that the voices of the marginalized are heard and that meaningful change is achieved. Whether fighting for fair policies, empowering our youth, or addressing local disparities, our collective efforts are making a difference.

As we reflect on this milestone, we also look forward. As we see from what’s going on today, the fight for justice is far from over, and we need your passion, dedication, and activism to push forward. We encourage you to get involved, stay engaged, and stand with us as we build on 116 years of resilience and progress.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we honor our past, embrace the present, and shape a future where equity and justice prevail.

In solidarity,

Adrienne King

President,

NAACP Bucks County Branch 2253-B
