NAACP Black Consumer Advisory 2025: Using Economic Power for Change

The NAACP has issued its 2025 Black Consumer Advisory, urging Black consumers to make informed spending choices that align with businesses that actively support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The Advisory warns against the widespread rollback of DEI commitments by corporations, which negatively impact Black professionals, businesses, and communities.

With Black consumers holding over $1.8 trillion in spending power, the NAACP encourages people to spend intentionally, support Black-owned businesses, and demand accountability from corporations profiting from Black dollars while undermining DEI efforts (NAACP Launches Black Consumer Advisory to Empower Black Consumers, Promote Corporate Accountability | NAACP).

This is not a call for a boycott, but rather a call to action—encouraging corporations to uphold their commitments to racial and economic equity.
