The NAACP Bucks County Branch is aware of the arrests of students and adults that occurred in Quakertown on February 20, 2026, during a student-led protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We are also aware of the video currently circulating publicly involving Quakertown High School students and the Quakertown Chief of Police.

Local leaders held a joint press conference to address Sheriff Fred Harran's pending 287(g) agreement with Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE).
