Important Update Regarding Membership Fees

This notice is to inform you of an upcoming change to NAACP membership dues that will take effect March 2026. The NAACP National Board has approved the increase to help ensure the continued strength, sustainability, and impact of the NAACP’s mission at the national, state, and local levels.

Beginning on March 1, 2026, Life membership fee amounts will be adjusted to allow the organization to expand advocacy efforts, enhance member services, and respond more effectively to the evolving civil rights challenges facing our communities.

This decision was made with careful consideration because we recognize that any change in dues is significant. Membership support remains the foundation of our work—fueling voter protection, education equity, public safety advocacy, legal action, and community engagement initiatives.

We encourage members to renew or extend their membership prior to March 1, 2026, to take advantage of current rates. Members who upgrade to a Life Subscribing Membership (Silver, Gold, or Diamond) before March 1, 2026, will be “grandfathered” in at the current rates. This means that if you upgrade to a life subscribing membership now and make your first payment, you will be locked in at the current rate until you have completed all payments.
