The Trump Administration’s decision to drop its appeal in the school D.E.I. lawsuit is not just notable—it is telling. It reinforces what communities have long known: diversity, equity, and inclusion are lawful, necessary, and central to the promise of public education.

We strongly condemn the removal of the Slavery Exhibit from the President’s House. This action represents a blatant attempt to whitewash our nation’s history and erase the truth about President George Washington’s Philadelphia residence—and the enslaved people who lived, labored, and suffered there.
